Origin France
L’Herbier du Diois does not purchase all of its raw materials locally. Spices, vanilla, green coffee, teas do not grow (yet) in our latitudes and our climate, therefore we import them. For other aromatics, the region of supply depends closely on commercial outlets. Even if we are keen to develop the French origin, we must first find customers ready to embark with us on the adventure, and therefore ready to bear the additional costs, particularly linked to the price of labor. artwork.
Today, French supplies represent a fifth of our annual purchases in volume. Nevertheless, and for several years, we have observed a real craze around organic and local sourcing. The areas cultivated with aromatic plants continue to increase, even if they are insufficient to supply the herbalism market. The French origin provides an additional guarantee. This is a guarantee of quality and additional traceability. Not to mention the environmental added value, linked to the transport economy. Thus, the greater the demand from France, the more successful we will be in developing the sector.
